The Real Property Management Services is responsible for the Department's real property asset management programs. Assets include land, building, and other structures which are permanent acquisitions or those that are temporary in nature. Responsibilities include the functions of planning, organizing, coordinating, directing, controlling, and supervising the asset with responsibility for the results.

The duties and responsibilities for a Supervisory Financial Management Specialist generally include, but are not limited to, the following:
* Perform the administrative and human resource management functions relative to the staff supervised.
* Develop new methods and techniques of budgeting for the forecasting of long-range funding requirements for rent.
* Review, analyze, revise, and recommend approval, disapproval, or modification of budget requests and justifications regarding rent and real property asset management programs.
* Project and analyze the potential effects of budgetary actions on rent and real property asset management programs.
* Manage the Department's rent management and real property system.
Requirements
- You must be a United States Citizen or National.
- You must successfully pass a security/background investigation and a drug screening.
- You must be a current permanent Department of Justice employee with competitive status or a CTAP/RPL eligible candidate.
- You must meet all applicable time-in-grade requirements by the closing of this announcement.

Qualifications
To qualify for the position of Supervisory Financial Management Specialist, (GS-0501-14), you must meet the required specialized experience specific to this series and grade.
If you are a current Department of Justice employee on a permanent appointment in the competitive service, you will need to demonstrate 1-year (52-weeks) at the next lower grade level, to meet the time-in-grade requirements for this occupational series and grade.
To qualify for the GS-14, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service formulate and develop budget estimates, utilize a financial management system to input, adjust, or analyze financial data, AND manage a rent management or real property system.

Education
