About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the US ARMY INTELLIGENCE AND SECURITY CMD ACOFS, G4 FORT BELVOIR, VA 22060.

Duties

Implements and integrates supply support for DA, NSA, and MACOM level special projects relating to logistic management. Serves as a Logistics Management Specialist responsible for planning, directing, and monitoring the integration of functional area support for special SIGINT/IEW systems, Department level programs, and field logistics operations. Develops the implementation of new command policies and procedures to maximize the effectiveness of INSCOM supply support operations.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • TDY travel may be required at 25% or less of the time.
  • All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.

Analyzing logistics data for preparation of mission support plans for unit/equipment readiness; 2.) Developing and implementing supply support programs and procurement procedures that include property accountability of standard and non-standard equipment; and 3.) Analyzing, evaluating, and/or developing requirements to integrate automated support systems into organization's logistics and supply support operations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-12).
