Duties
Serves as the primary DLA representative and Senior Integrator for Security Assistance, International Logistics, Homeland Security, and other Federal/State and DoD 4th Estate Agencies.
Responsible for DLA logistics and support issues and providing strategic strategies for readiness in support of Security Assistance, International Logistics, and other agencies.
Works with customer elements, foreign military sales implementing agencies, and internal Major Subordinate Command personnel to identify customer preferences and needs for the comprehensive logistics support of DLA.
Develops mechanisms to measure effectiveness of Performance Based Agreements and establishes metrics to ensure required levels of performance and support are achieved.
Analyzes and evaluates internal and external support issues and promotes resolution to improve readiness and logistical support encompassing most classes of supply.

Qualifications
To qualify for a Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist, your resume and supporting documentation must support:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-15 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
Knowledge of the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Office of Secretary of State, and DLA logistics operations, policies, procedures, regulations, and organization
Knowledge of DLA, Security Assistance and International Logistics, and Homeland Security automated logistics systems, including those used to support military service weapons systems, troop and general support, and overall major logistics support.
Performs research and logistics support data analysis to monitor key performance indicators and potential problems or trends.
Maintains liaison with high level officials and customers, presenting and preparing senior leadership with customer requirements and their impact on the Agency.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
