Identify specific requirements for funding, manpower, material, facilities, and services needed to support the program and correlating those requirements with program plans to assure that the needed support is provided at the right time and place.
Maintain liaison with high level officials and technical personnel of DOD, DLA, other agencies in matters related to DLA support provided, as it relates to emerging technologies and customer requirements.
Manages a segment of a highly technical and complex Customer Relationships that involve the development of major aspects of key administrative, regulatory, and policy development in support of operations.
Exercises supervisory authority to oversee the overall planning, direction, and timely execution of a DLA staff program including development, assignment, higher level clearance of goals ..... (cont'd)

Approves multi-year and longer range work plans developed by the supervisors of those organizational units and subsequently manage the overall work to enhance achievement of goals and objectives.
Oversees the revision of long range plans, goals, and objectives for the work directed.

Qualifications
To qualify for a Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist, your resume and supporting documentation must support:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To qualify at the GS-15 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement.
Creditable specialized experience includes:
Analyzing new and proposed policies to determine the extent of their influence upon the existing support provided to the military services.
Managing the response and customer expectations as a result of policy changes, financial levers, and/or legislated changes.
Serving as a focal point for review and evaluation of short and long range plans involving the military services and the support provided.
Making organizational changes to maximize effectiveness of resources that drive improvements in customer support and result in process efficiencies.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
