THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a SEXUAL VIOLENCE PREVENTION SPECIALIST (PREV WF), Position Description Number T0032P01 and is part of the CO JFHQ J9, National Guard.
Duties
The purpose of this position is to directly support the development and execution of policies, programs, and procedures implementing integrated primary prevention activities relating to sexual violence, averting harm or abuse before it occurs. Acts as subject matter expert (SME) on Integrated Primary Prevention (IPP) as applied to sexual violence prevention. Assists with IPP needs assessments. Advances policies outside of the existing Sexual Assault Prevention and Response (SAPR) office for equities specific to sexual violence primary prevention. Collects qualitative and quantitative data. Maintains an understanding of SAPR policies and the working dynamics between primary prevention and response. Maintains collaborative relationships with the JFHQ, Air National Guard (ANG) Wing/ Army National Guard (ARNG) Brigade SAPR program managers, the NGB Sexual Violence Primary Prevention SME, and other relevant support programs. Supports and participates in state-level committees, boards, and working groups. Provides sexual violence prevention data to Brigade/Region Primary Prevention Integrators (PPIs). Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements

- Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
- The incumbent of this position description must have at a minimum, a completed National Agency Check (NAC) prior to position assignment.
- Must be able to obtain required certifications, as applicable.
- This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.
- Irregular and/or overtime (compensatory) hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day.

Qualifications

Must have experience or knowledge in each of the following:
1. 12 months experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level.
2. Experience with Primary Prevention efforts relating to sexual violence prevention.
3. Knowledge and experience in the organization, management, and administration of programs and services to participate in sexual violence prevention program planning.
4. Experience in oral and written communication to include report writing and maintaining proper records to document services provided.
5. Experience working with or knowledge of laws, regulations, executive orders, issues, etc., relating to the primary prevention and the development of sexual violence prevention strategies.
6. Experience working with or knowledge of policies and requirements for the development and analysis of the sexual violence prevention efforts in order to integrate effective prevention measures.
Education
In accordance with Table 2. DoD IPP Personnel Training and Education System, for Level 4 selection consideration (Prevention Lead, GS-12), advanced, specialized prevention education and experience must be a master's degree or higher in prevention related field preferred.
