You will serve as a SUPERVISORY COMMAND INFORMATION SPECIALIST in the G-3 Division (Operations), G-33 Operations Directorate, Command Operations Center, US Marine Corps Forces, Pacific of MARINE FORCES PACIFIC.
Duties
You will be the principle source of expertise and continuity for all matters related to the day to day operations and future initiatives within the COC.
You will technically supervise, certify, and train a pool of five field grade officers, and five staff non commissioned officers, one federal civilian, two contracted global command and control specialists, and two watch NCOs.
You will be responsible for the certification and training of all personnel, planning work to be accomplished and setting/adjusting short term, mid term and long term priorities and schedules.
You will direct, assign, supervise, oversee and coordinate the work within the COC, and assure that an acceptable quality and quantity of work is performed.
You will oversee each watch team, ensuring continuous secure communications is maintained with higher, adjacent, and subordinate commands, supervising the creation of required products for the Commander and his staff on numerous topics.
You will ensure that the Command Operations Center (COC) is appropriately staffed and equipped to rapidly respond to the operational needs of the Commander, staff, higher headquarters, adjacent, and subordinate commands.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final TOP SECRET SCI security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Running day to day operations of a large Command for all aspects of operations to include organization, staffing, personnel selection, certification and development, budgeting, procurement of technology, and coordinating with base facilities to ensure infrastructure maintenance.
