You will serve as a SUPERVISORY JOINT FIRES PROGRAM MANAGER of HEADQUARTERS US INDO-PACIFIC COMMAND.

Duties

You will serve as senior program manager for all theater strategic fires and targeting operations. You will Manage theater strategic joint fires and targeting plans for Secretary of Defense (SECDEF) directed OPLANs, Concept of Operations Plans (CONPLANs) and time-sensitive crisis action planning resulting in execution level orders. You will manage all aspects of theater joint fires and targeting, to include targeting and attack policy, strategic target selection, and fires and targeting guidance for the employment of operational forces. You will review plans of subordinate joint forces to ensure that fires in support of contingency and crisis plans includes joint response in the AOR and that intelligence support to targeting supports USINDOPACOM target development priorities.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-14) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate performing duties such as the following: 1) Manage theater strategic joint fires and targeting plans and time-sensitive crisis action planning resulting in execution level orders; 2) Review plans of subordinate joint forces to ensure that fires in support of contingency and crisis plans includes joint response and that intelligence support to targeting supports USINDOPACOM target development priorities, maximizing efficiency and unity of efforts; 3) Serve as senior program manager for all theater strategic fires and targeting operations; and 4) Effectively manage, prioritize and assign work of supporting activities to ensure J3's ability to plan, direct all Joint Fires Element Division's mission essential functions within the J3 responsibility.
