You will serve as a CIVILIAN HARM MITIGATION & RESPONSE OFFICER within HEADQUARTERS US INDO-PACIFIC COMMAND.
Duties
You will facilitate cross-functional policy implementation, working groups, or other coordination mechanisms at the combatant command and subordinate command levels.
You will communicate effectively orally and in writing on complex and sensitive topics to a range of internal and external stakeholders.
You will develop strategies to address issues of potential sensitivity, define strategic priorities, manage time, and advise senior leaders in the face of competing demands and time pressures.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

- This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Applying knowledge of joint and multinational planning processes and working in multinational operations command structures and procedures.
2) Facilitating cross-functional policy implementation, working groups, or other coordination mechanisms at the combatant command and subordinate command levels.
3) Defining strategic priorities, manage time, and advise senior leaders.
4) Managing principles and practices of governing administrative laws, policies, regulations and precedents.
