You will serve as an IT SPECIALIST in the C4I Systems Division (N6), Cyber Security Branch (N62) of COMMANDER UNDERSEA SURVEILLANCE.
Duties
You will ensure that users comply with the INFOSEC program requirements and procedures.
You will implement, enforce and update COMUNDERSEASURV’s policies and procedures consistent with cyber security directives, laws, and guidelines.
You will ensure information system reliability and accessibility, to prevent and defend against unauthorized access to systems, networks and data.
You will develop systems security contingency plans, disaster recovery procedures and continuity of operations plans.
You will conduct risk and vulnerability assessments of planned and installed information systems to identify vulnerabilities, risks and protection needs.
You will conduct system security evaluations, audits and reviews and assesses security events to determine impact and implements corrective
actions.
You will ensure the immediate mitigation, documentation, investigation, and reporting of all system security incidents until they are resolved.
You will monitor networks for malicious activity and take corrective action, provide design changes to improve security and eliminate risks, scan networks and systems for vulnerabilities, analyze results, and advise on how to correct deficiencies.
You will assist in the preparation and execution of Cyber Command Readiness Inspections (CCRI), CYBER-1 Readiness Inspection and other cyber security related inspections and reports.

- This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code 722 Info Sys Sec Mgr. proficiency level Intermediate. Incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector employing cyber security principles and practices to manage (e.g., plan, implement, coordinate, monitor) information technology (IT) security defense strategies designed to protect IT infrastructure; applying systems security certification and accreditation requirements and processes to identify vulnerabilities, risks and protection needs for networks, systems, and platforms.
Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
