You will serve as a SUPERVISORY IT SPECIALIST (NETWORK/POLICY PLANNING), Director of the Network Operations (NetOps) Division, of the Advanced Capabilities and Development Department of COMMANDER UNDERSEA SURVEILLANCE.
Duties
You will serve as the lead for Commander Undersea Surveillance (CUS) N9 Networks Operations (NetOps) department and will be responsible for the design, implementation, operations, maintenance, continuity, and sustainment of systems and capabilities.
You will assess, identify, and de-conflict operational requirements and identify strategies within program's schedule and resources parameters.
You will define and document requirements and specify NetOps assets and capabilities required by the Advanced Capabilities and Development Department (N9) Program.
You will define technical strategies for the design, development, acquisition, testing, integration, implementation and sustainment of NetOps solutions required to address N9 program's mission and program-specific operational requirements.
You will collaborate with N9's Mission Support Division (N91) to assure strategies are technically feasible, operationally responsible, within budget and schedule and consistent with governing federal and DoD acquisition regulations and policies.
You will lead and provide technical expertise for design and integration of new and enhanced NetOps hardware and software to assure compliance with program-specific and governing Navy, DoD, federal and international design standards.
You will assure facility engineering plans, drawings, and schematic updates reflect changes in system configurations and installations.
You will provide technical direction and management oversight for all life cycle phases of the diverse range of proprietary NetOps capabilities.

- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 441 and 751 level Advanced within 12 months of appointment.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: overseeing the implementation of information technology plans and policies to ensure Network Operations (NetOps) designs and operational concepts integrate emerging design concepts and technologies and are delivered in accordance with operational requirements for an organization.
Your experience must reflect skills in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
