About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the US Army Special Operations Command, Task Force 40-25, Fort Liberty, North Carolina.

Duties

Serve as a Cryptologic Cyberspace Operations Specialist and a Digital Network Exploitation Analyst (DNEA) for Task Force 40-25 (TF 40-25) Conduct analysis, collection operations of digital networks, and support in the planning of Cyber Warfare activities and Cyber Network operations Develop, maintain, and review analytic working aids and databases to support target collection, identification, and location Support development of cyberspace operations and plans as well as the integration and synchronization of diverse operational capabilities to achieve assigned missions. Operate automated data processing (ADP) equipment for analysis, processing, and reporting. Conduct intelligence support to planning activities, including threat research and analysis, all-source fusion, defining intelligence requirements, collection management facilitation, interagency collaboration/coordination. Conduct intelligence support to high-level briefing support, and technical expertise. As a Cyber Specialist, conduct computer (network and infrastructure) analysis to enable Cyber Warfare effects in support of national and theater intelligence requirements. Provide leading edge Cyberspace Operations support to an evolving Army Cyberspace Operations mission.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
• In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance based on a T5 (or equivalent level) investigation with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
• Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI) on a pre-appointment and periodic basis.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain access to National Security Agency (NSA) facilities and networks.
• Temporary duty (TDY) travel will be required 25% or less of the time.

Conducting intelligence support including all-source fusion, requirements analysis, and threat characterization in digital environments. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-12). Progressively responsible experience is that which has included intelligence-related research, analysis, collections and /or operations. This experience should have included intelligence analysis and/or production, intelligence collection and/or operations, counterintelligence, or threat support directly related to the position to be filled. This experience should demonstrate: Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data.
