About the Position: This position is located at the US Army Military Police School at Fort Leonard Wood, MO. Fort Leonard Wood is located in the beautiful South-Central Missouri Ozarks. The Fort covers more than 61,000 acres and is in Pulaski County, Mo. Bordering the installation to the North are the towns of Waynesville/St. Robert and Interstate 44. St. Louis is a 2hr. drive to the East along I-44 and Springfield is a little more than an hour's drive to the West of Fort Leonard Wood.
Duties
Develop training curriculum and materials for behavioral sciences education course.
Resolve controversial, unconventional, or novel problems related to special victims training, education, and investigation.
Serve as a subject matter expert writer developing training materials through the analysis of educational or instructional problems or questions.
Serve as the course manager for the DOD Problematic Sexual Behavior among Children and Youth course.
Advise supervisor when programs of instruction and lesson plans need to be revised or adapted to address training short falls.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Employee may be required to work overtime on an emergency basis.
- Employee drives a motor vehicle requiring an appropriate, valid driver's license.
- Certification through the Foundation Instructor Facilitator Course and Small Group Instructor Course within 120 days of employment.
- Employee is required to view and teach sexually explicit material relating to sexual abuse, assaults and abductions.
- A Secret Clearance is required for this position.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). All applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade and specialized experience requirements within thirty (30) days after the closing date of the announcements.
