About the Position: This position is located at the Military Police School at Fort Leonard Wood, MO. Fort Leonard Wood is located in the beautiful South-Central Missouri Ozarks. The Fort covers more than 61,000 acres and is located in Pulaski County, Mo. Bordering the installation to the North are the towns of Waynesville/St. Robert and Interstate 44. St. Louis is a 2hr. drive to the East along I-44 and Springfield is a little more than an hour's drive to the West of Fort Leonard Wood.
Duties
Lead Training Development (TD) Integrated Product Teams.
Serve as the primary Knowledge Management Officer for U.S. Army Military Police School.
Develop, implement and integrate all required Training Development (TD) actions related to Military Police (MP) new equipment under the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) process, with emphasis on Non-Lethal capabilities.
Serve as a New Equipment Training Developer and U.S. Army Military Police School Non-Lethal representative.
Use of expert knowledge of institutional and unit training, Military Police Corps functions as specified in the mission area analysis,
army modernization plan, and joint guidance to synchronize and link training acquisition with chemical, engineer or military police force modernization programs.
Analyze current and emerging proponent, Army, and Joint Doctrine to determine system, How to Fight, and leader training strategies, plans and products required to support system test, fielding and sustainment.
Prepare supporting documentation for Proponent Leadership approval of training strategies, instructor requirements, or changes.
Requirements

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal Service that demonstrates a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position (new equipment/non-lethal) and of the methods and techniques of instruction, which includes: developing, training products, course materials, aids, devices, simulators., evaluating training results and adapting training curricula and equipment to meet existing and future needs. Experience that demonstrates accomplishment of computer project assignments that required a wide range of knowledge of computer requirements and techniques pertinent to the position being filled to include knowledge of the customary approaches, techniques, and requirements appropriate to an assigned computer applications area or computer specialty area in an organization.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). All applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade and specialized experience requirements within thirty (30) days after the closing date of the announcement.
