About the Position: You will serve as a senior Logistics Management Specialist that has the responsibility to plan, coordinate, integrate maintenance support operations in support of Army Sustainment (ASC) Army Field Support Brigade (AFSB)/Army Field Support Battalion (AFSBn)/Logistics Readiness Center (LRC)initiatives.
Duties
Plans, coordinates, and integrates maintenance support operations.
Conducts comprehensive formal studies of benefits, impacts, characteristics and problems associated with logistics and maintenance policy.
Provides specialized technical advice and management assistance to team members and Brigade/Battalion/LRC while personally performing the most complex and controversial aspects of logistical and maintenance work.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.

Specialized Experience: In order to qualify for this position your resume must describe one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service which includes: 1) Participating in course of action development and initiatives to enhance logistics and maintenance levels; 2) Identifying issues and trends and recommending maintenance/logistical solutions; AND 3) Maintaining Maintenance Management System records and tracking all related costs.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
