About the Position: The pay band NH-04 includes the General Schedule grade equivalent to GS-14/15. Other initiatives under the Acquisition Demonstration Project include simplified classification, streamlined hiring process and expanded developmental opportunities.
Duties
Serve as Assistant Associate Director of a Weapons Systems Directorate within the Integrated Logistics Support Center (ILSC).
Apply integrated logistics support (ILS), maintenance management, and supply management expertise to assure attainment of command goals, through chiefs of subordinate elements.
Plan, direct, coordinate, control and implement Level II and Level III management of communication-electronic systems programs and provide support to external organizations in the various life cycle stages.
Manage the materiel management and supply control of and supply control of numerous National Inventory Control Point (NICP) items,
Develop and apply new ILS and maintenance concepts and methods.
Plan, direct, coordinates, control and implement the numerous programs and activities of the directorates professional, technical and administrative workforce.
Promote acceptance and adherence to the provisions of programs such as Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), Federal Women’s Programs, Disabled Employees and Labor Relations.
Manage the assignment of funds, personnel and facilities; make program assignments; and is fully responsible for the efficient and economical use of resources (Personnel, property and funds).
Develop and execute strategic plans for the directorate, in coordination with subordinate supervisors.
Represent the Commander, CECOM, while chairing or participating in high level conferences, meetings and panels, as required.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. A background investigation may be required.
- This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
- This is a designated Critical Acquisition Position. Selectee must execute, as a condition of appointment, a written agreement to remain in Federal service in this position for at least three years.
- Temporary duty (TDY or travel of % my be required.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Life Cycle Logistics certification within 48 months as of entrance on duty.

Specialized experience: To qualify, applicants must possess one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job.. Specialized experience is defined as: 1) applying logistics management related to a weapon system project/program to identify resource requirements such as money, manpower, material, facilities, or services; 2) providing logistical support to integrate all the separate logistical functions, e.g., supply, transportation, automation, financial management, and procurement throughout the total logistical lifecycle; 3) applying a wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative analysis methods for the assessment and improvement of program effectiveness or the improvement of complex management processes and systems; AND 4) managing the recruitment, career development, training, and retention of a workforce.
