About the Position: This position is located in the Directorate of Supply and Transportation, at Letterkenny Army Depot, in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania.
Duties
Maintain industrial electronic equipment, components, and systems.
Conduct tests and modification on electronic equipment and systems.
Able to read blueprints and schematics to troubleshoot and repair systems.
Annotate records that required tests have been completed.
Conduct scheduled maintenance and repairs on electronic equipment.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Must be able to pass a physical examination annually and thereafter.
- This position requires an EPA 608 Certification to handle refrigerants.
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess a valid government motor vehicle operator's permit.
- This position requires training in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) from a government provided source.
- This position is subject to a pre-employment drug screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an Electronic Industrial Controls Mechanic without more than normal supervision. Can perform common tasks associated with repairing electronic systems and diagnosing system faults. I can perform basic machine repairs and preventative maintenance tasks. Work under the supervision of a work leader or journey- level employee who reviews my work for completion. - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating.

PHYSICAL EFFORT
Work assignments require light to moderate physical effort. There is frequent lifting, carrying and handling of items weighing 10-40 pounds and occasionally over 40 pounds. Work is performed in a sitting position for extended periods and frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching is required.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is normally performed in well-lighted, heated and ventilated areas; however, ear protection is required. There is the possibility of injuries such as cuts, bruises and burns caused by electrical shock and soldering irons.
