About the Position: The position is located at Madigan Army Medical Center, Patient Administration Records and Medical Board. The incumbent is responsible for the clerical administrative processing of forms, reports, and other materials to support events of health care treatment/services provided to service members (SM's) undergoing Physical Disability Evaluation System (PDES) processing.

Duties

Initiate requests for records or information from different sources. Discuss details associated with healthcare benefits and follow up medical treatment required. Set up and maintain suspense files. Prepare medical records for hand-off to the Department of Veteran's Affairs (DVA) military service coordinator. Enter information into automated healthcare reporting systems. Perform support task such as ordering office supplies.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Employees assigned to a medical treatment facility are required to be screened for applicable immunizations or pre-existing immunity based on occupational risk, regardless of job series.
  • This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is subject to annual vaccination.
  • This position requires the incumbent to obtain the Physical Evaluation Board Liaison Officer (PEBLO) certification within their first 6 months of employment.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.

OR Education: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages.
