The typical seasonal period for these positions is Apr/May through Oct/Nov but can be variable during these months due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding. Anticipated Entry on Duty: April/May 2025.

Duties
Performs simple and routine work involved in the maintenance and repair of grounds, exterior structures, buildings and related utilities, requiring the use of a variety of trade practices. Responsible for the general cleaning, ground maintenance, repairs to the grounds, buildings and structures of the parks and the efficient operation, maintenance, and care taking of buildings, structures and grounds serving public and domestic use throughout the park. Position also focuses on custodial services, including cleaning sinks, toilets, sweeping and mopping floors, and ensuring that there are adequate supplies of soap, towels, and toilet paper for public restrooms throughout the park, picnic areas, and/or campgrounds.

Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument (U.S. National Park Service) (nps.gov) - Patten, ME - $21.98-$25.64
Qualifications
To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors:
Ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision. (SCREEN OUT)
Knowledge of equipment assembly, installation, repair, etc.
Technical Practices.
Use of measuring instruments.
Ability to safely use and maintain tools and equipment.
Knowledge of materials.
Ability to interpret instructions and specifications including blueprints.
