This position located in Cape Cod National Seashore, in the Facility Management & Maintenance Division. This is a Career-Seasonal position including all benefits of permanent employment, but employment isn't on a year-round basis. You will work approximately 25 pay periods, and you will be in a non-pay status during the month of January. This is a temporary promotion not to exceed 1 year, can be extended up to 5 years. This temporary promotion may be made permanent without further competition.

Duties

This position works in the Facility Management and Maintenance Operations division at Cape Cod National Seashore in South Wellfleet, MA. The purpose of this position is to serve as the maintenance supervisor, responsible for planning and coordinating facility operations and supervising permanent and seasonal maintenance workers performing custodial tasks and minor repairs and maintenance of park resources. Duties include supervision; planning, scheduling, and coordination of work for permanent and temporary employees; inventory procurement; and hands on maintenance work to include cleaning, routine maintenance of picnic areas, beaches, parking lots and trail heads, and performance of minor repairs of plumbing fixtures, carpentry, and painting.
