About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the US ARMY INTELLIGENCE AND SECURITY CMD MISSION SUPPORT COMMAND/ACOFS, G-6 FORT BELVOIR, VA.

Duties

Oversees a full range of Network Enterprise Services for INSCOM’s multiple networks spanning, multiple buildings, and sites in the National Capitol Region. Develop and formulate organizational policy and guidelines pertaining to IT networked systems to ensure IT network architecture meets agency and national standards and accreditation requirements Perform network and IT systems life cycle management to determine new equipment and technology requirements. Determine methods, processes and procedures to be implemented to extend the life of network and IT related telecommunications, equipment and systems based on non-availability of resources in order to upgrade and/or replace current infrastructure. Represent the organization on requests and actions related to feasibility, technical adequacy, interoperability, standardization interface, protocol requirements, capabilities, integration, and funding of implementation activities.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance based on a T5 (or equivalent level) investigation with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
• In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
• All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.
• Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
