About the Position: This Operations Specialist is located at White Sands Missile Range Commanding General, G3 with duty location of White Sands Missile Range, Dona Ana New Mexico. (merit) This time-limited assignment is also being announced under Job Opportunity Announcement SDSE245605592020.

Duties

Responsible for processing Command tasking’s as subject-matter expert for tasking. Provide reclama to United States Army Test and Evaluation Command within seven days of tasking if Command is unable to satisfy the tasking. Serve as the G-3, Operations Specialist responsible for providing guidance. Serve as the primary Action Officer responsible for updating policies. Execute organizational administrative programs such as internal/external communications planning, suspense tracking, resource requirements analysis and review. Assist in the planning of joint services exercises involving individuals such as those within the command and its subordinate commands. Provide coordination for ceremonial events within the required timeline.

Requirements

• Temporary Duty (TDY) may be required 25% of the time.
• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Develop plans orders to include creating Operations Orders ensuring operations policies and procedures are followed; 2) Coordinate military ceremonies or special events in accordance with regulatory requirements; AND 3) Utilize automated systems to receive and process organization tasking actions and provide status report on progress from beginning to completion of the tasking. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower level/grade position in the federal service (NH-02/GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify.
