You will serve as an IT Specialist (INFOSEC) in the Mission Systems Test and Evaluation Department of NAVTESTWINGLANT NWCF. If selected, your salary will be set in accordance with the established control point of this position which is $139,395 - $181,216.

Duties

You will act as an independent, expert consultant for all other branch members concerning test techniques, data analysis, and all other aspects of artificial intelligence and machine learning systems. You will develop and provide formal technical trainings to personnel. You will make recommendations to program managers and technical sponsors on matters such as schedules for evaluating/correcting deficiencies and support facility requirements. You will provide leadership to personnel and resources necessary to ensure the completion of tasks as well as establish objectives and priorities to provide timely development support efforts. You will attend technical meetings to advise on artificial intelligence/machine learning systems while also making official technical presentations. You will maintain cognizance of current and long-range technologies as well as establish interfaces with other agencies and contractor personnel to promote cross talk and technology transfer.

  • This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code (672), proficiency level (Advanced) the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-12/13) grade level or pay band (DS-05) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: (1) Acting as an independent, expert consultant for all other branch members concerning test techniques, data analysis, and all other aspects of artificial intelligence/machine learning systems which includes developing and providing formal technical training to other personnel; (2) Making recommendations to program managers and technical sponsors on matters such as schedules for evaluating/correcting deficiencies and support facility requirements; (3) Providing leadership to personnel and resources necessary to ensure completion of tasks and establishing objectives and priorities to provide balanced and timely development support efforts; (4) Attending technical meetings to advise on artificial intelligence/machine learning systems and vulnerabilities, while also making official technical presentations; and (5) Maintaining cognizance of current and future long-range technologies as well as establishing interfaces with other agencies and contractor personnel to promote cross talk and technology transfer between various groups.
