You will serve as a IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC/PLCYPLN) in the Digital Analytics Infrastructure & Technology Advancement Group, Digital Network & Applications Department, Engineering Solutions Division, Systems Engineering Architecture & Network Branch of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.
Duties
You will be responsible for assigned IT infrastructure/customer service/operations projects, typically those that require broad technical expertise and direct attention by a senior team member.
You will oversee on-going IT integration and infrastructure projects within the Team.
You will track assignments and tasks via sanctioned tools and regularly provide metrics input for areas of responsibility to Product Manager/Division Head/Branch Head for subsequent analysis and reporting.
You will provide comprehensive assessments of the feasibility of proposed technology applications.
You will apply analytical methods to advise the Product Team/Division Head/Branch Head in making trade-offs between program strategies that are technically optimal and those that are achievable within cost and schedule parameters.
You will maintain knowledge and understanding of advances in hardware, software, tools and techniques related to information architecture design and IT infrastructure.
You will review technical literature and participates in professional societies to maintain an up-to-date knowledge of information processing and technology developments and products pertinent to the architecture/infrastructure.

- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. Must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area Network Operations Specialist level Intermediate within 12 months of appointment.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12/13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1.) Must have expert technical expertise in all IT functional areas, and ability to integrate this expertise with practical knowledge of the mission, objectives, and operations. 2.) Must have technical knowledge of the architecture, procurement, and processes used by the NAVAIR community for information technology. 3.) Must have knowledge in the management of all products and services that the position will be responsible for. 4). Must exercise delegated authority and personal judgement to lead the administration of the various network environments supported by DNA without the need for approval for standard technical recommendations. . Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.

Education
Education: All academic degrees and coursework must be from accredited or pre-accredited institutions
Undergraduate or Graduate Education: Degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
