Duties
Serves as the Network SME for Health IT Training programs for the Network. Teach, train and oversee EUE HIT training catalog of course for the Network and MTF support staff.
Coordinates and oversees class specific instruction and serves as a SME for the lectures, demonstrations, and practical exercises associated with these classes.
Oversees the implementation, execution and administration of the EUE Health IT training catalog of courses.
Attends curriculum committee meetings to maintain up-to-date information on program/course requirements to ensure that appropriate requirement is met.
Works with the Services, Operational Medicine and other agencies to identify functional problem areas for corrective training actions and resolution.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- This position may require a seasonal Influenza vaccination that is subject to annual seasonal Influenza vaccinations unless otherwise exempted for medical or religious reasons (documentation of exemption must be provided upon hire).
- You may be authorized to Telework on a Regular and Recurring or Situational basis.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that demonstrates a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction, which includes managing a training database for Health Information Technology; developing and evaluating course curriculum for Health Information Technology and experience as a training and education instructor for Health Information Technology systems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
