About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the Fort Belvoir, Virginia.
Duties
Senior Training Specialist and instructor for the following fields: Open-Source Research (OSR), Information Operations (IO), Electromagnetic Warfare (EW), Cyberspace Operations (CO), Military Information Support Operations
(MISO), Deception Activities (DA), Operations Security (OPSEC), the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP), and/or the Targeting Process (TP).
Develops and evaluates highly complex training methodologies, applying new methods, approaches and technologies in designing courseware and
special materials in areas where new designs are needed due to emerging and changing technology.
Prepares correspondence recommending new training and education processes for adoption or revisions to existing concepts, policies, and procedures.
Provides direction for finding, selecting, and modifying source materials for courses of instruction that are meaningful and acceptable to audiences.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Must pass an initial and periodic urinalysis screening for illegal drug use.
- Temporary duty travel may be required approximately 25% or less of the time.
- This position requires a Top Secret with Sensitive Compartmented info Security Clearance

Plans distance learning training missions for one or more specialty areas of Open-Source Research, Information Operations (IO), Electromagnetic Warfare (EW), Cyberspace Operation (CO), Military Information Support Operations (MISO), Deception Activities (DA), Operations Security (OPSEC), the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP), and/or the Targeting Process (TP). 2. Assumes responsibility for training staff when program innovations and modifications are required 3. Assist with fiscal year program objective for the organization. 4. Develops and evaluates highly complex training methodologies, applying new methods, approaches and technologies in designing courseware and special materials in areas where new designs are needed due to emerging and changing technology.
