Duties
You will serve as the Accountable Property Officer (APO) with responsibility for overall management, direction, and control of the Installation Property Book Office.
You will serve as APO utilizing Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-Army) to account for and manage the property assets of the LRC, and Tenant Activities.
You will ensure the update and currency of hand receipts and audit trail records for all accountable property and reconciles hand receipts with the property book.
You will be responsible for overall execution of the Command Supply Discipline Program, which includes inspection of supply elements of supported activities.
You will coordinate activities with local unit supply personnel, operating officials, Command Supply personnel, Logistics Review Teams, Petroleum Specialists, and Communication Surveillance Inspectors to find solutions to supply problems.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Position will require occasional evening, weekend, and/or holiday hours, to include mandatory overtime as mission dictates.
- TDY may be required up to 25% of the time.
- Designated Mission Essential Position: Incumbent is required to report for duty during inclement weather, Natural Disasters, and other emergency situations as directed by the Commander.
- May be required to remain on duty after the official shift ends, i.e., mandatory overtime; subject to recall to duty. Incumbent must maintain a functioning telephone to aid in contact during recall/emergency situations.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes maintaining accountable property records ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and policies; providing technical advice to improve supply and property management operations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
