Duties

You will serve as the Property Book Officer (PBO) for the Brigade responsible for the administration, execution and direction of property accountability, GSA vehicle accountability, and also administers the Command Supply Discipline Program. You will develop and evaluate the logistics and property accountability policies for the Brigade. You will analyze program requirements and formulates local operating procedures to adequately operate the property book in support of the Brigade. You will review and evaluate subordinate operations and develops changes in internal procedures and processes to meet workload demands and improve efficiencies. You will be responsible for interpreting and administering accountability procedures for personal property and special purpose equipment assigned to remote field locations.

Current Department of Army Civilian Employees In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes managing and controlling equipment, property, supplies; administer supply and property management programs; evaluating problems and formulating plans for corrective actions on logistics and property accountability. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Supply PlanningSupply SupportTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
