Duties

You will serve as supervisor of ASP operations, responsible for directing and ensuring correct procedures, IAW current regulatory guidance, are followed during all aspects of ammunition operations. You will serve as primary ASP operator of Total Ammunition Management Information System (TAMIS), web-based system used in conjunction with SAAS-MOD (ASP) to process all training ammunition requests. You will analyze and resolve complex automated supply program issues and problems involving day-to-day operations and the processes of receipt, issue, turn-in and storage management of ammunition. You will receive and review program change packages to determine nature of changes and impact on current operations and procedures and informs ASP users of changes. You will manage work force to ensure required inventories are maintenance/inspections are conducted correctly and at the appropriate interval.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Designated Mission Essential Position: Incumbent is required to report for duty during inclement weather, Natural Disasters, and other emergency situations as directed by the Commander.
  • May be required to remain on duty after the official shift ends, i.e., mandatory overtime; subject to recall to duty. Incumbent must maintain a functioning telephone to aid in contact during recall/emergency situations.
  • LAUTENBERG AMENDMENT: Employee must meet the requirements under the Lautenberg Amendment/Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968.
  • Must be able to pass a Criminal History Background Check. Candidates with convictions of misdemeanor crime of domestic violence are ineligible for this position.
  • Candidates under consideration will be required to certify whether they have ever been convicted of such an offense. False or fraudulent information provided by candidates is criminally punishable by fine or imprisonment IAW Title 18 USC 922(g) (91).
  • This is a drug testing designated position (TDP) under the Department of the Army Drug-Free Federal Workplace Program.
  • Signing of a DA Form 5019 acknowledging periodic random drug testing requirements is mandatory prior to being placed into this position.
  • Those individuals not currently occupying a TDP position must successfully complete a pre-appointment drug test prior to being placed into this position.
