Duties

You will analyze and resolve complex automated supply program issues and problems involving day-to-day operations and the processes of receipt, issue, turn-in and storage management of ammunition. You will be responsible for the Training Ammunition Management Information System (TAMIS) and the Unique Item Tracking (UIT) system for reporting usage of missiles and rockets to the National Inventory Control Point (NICP). You will manage high dollar ammunition record account by directing and monitoring inventories, conducting research, and approving documentation of issues and turn-ins. You will coordinate with the appropriate personnel on unserviceable ammunition to determine if the items are to be returned to the depot or disposed of through other disposition instructions as appropriate. You will monitor a contractor managed account in a Government Owned, Contractor Operated (GOCO) operation.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • The 1996 Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968 covers this position. Persons convicted of a misdemeanor for a crime of domestic violence are not eligible for the position.
  • This position is designated as Drug Testing Required. Incumbent is subject to random urinalysis testing IAW DA guidelines. Incumbent must complete DA 5019.
  • Designated Key Position - Position is designated as a Key Position in accordance with AR 690-11.
  • This position shall not be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization without seriously impairing the capability of the agency to function effectively.
  • The essential nature of this position requires that it not be filled by Ready Reservists or military retirees (subject to recall). This precludes such positions from being vacated during a mobilization.
  • Incumbent is required to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
  • Incumbent is required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, (5CFR Part 2634, Subpart I USOGE, 6/08)
  • Executive Branch Personnel Confidential Financial Disclosure Report upon entering the position and annually, in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R, Joint Ethics Regulation, dated 17-Nov-2011.
  • Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) may be required up to 10%.

OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Inventory ManagementOral CommunicationSupply PlanningTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
