Duties
As a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST at the GS-0346-13 some of your typical work assignments may include:
Serve as a senior advisor for transportation, deployment, distribution, supply chain management, In-Transit Visibility (ITV), and Asset Visibility (AV).
Review, evaluate, and analyze distribution network performance to identify potential issues and process improvement opportunities in the Global Distribution Network (GDN)/Defense Transportation System (DTS) using business intelligence software, analytical tools, systems of record, Transportation applications, and future capabilities.
Coordinate with joint forces, multi-nation forces, host nation, and other U.S. Government (USG) departments and agencies, Inter-Governmental Organizations (IGOs),and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs).
Monitor, assess, and direct distribution operations assuring the concept of support is effectively executed.

Qualifications
You may qualify at the GS-13 level, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service:
Apply analytical principles and techniques to research, develop, and report performance metrics and Automatic Information Technology (AIT)/ In-Transit Visibility (ITV) products (to include location reports) supporting each segment of the Global Distribution Network (GDN)/Defense Transportation System (DTS).
Identify and compile historical, current, and projected future data and analysis to help guide or evaluate on-going supply chain delays, backlogs impacting or location of cargo/passengers both domestic or overseas movement and delivery of sustainment materiel and deployment cargo.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
