About the Position: This position is with the Defense Health Agency. It is located within the Winn Army Medical Center Dental Health Activity, Fort Stewart, GA. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Dental Readiness Coordinator. Uses the Corporate Dentail Application (CDA).
Duties
Provide dental clinic administration and record keeping duties.
Maintain and monitor patient appointment schedules for the clinic/practice.
Receive patients and visitors as the initial point of contact.
Record and relay messages and/or redirect calls. Refer urgent messages and patient results for immediate actions.
Maintains all patients' records, both electronic and paper, according to regulation ensuring each entry contains proper patient and health care provider identification.
Uses Corporate DENTRIX to coordinate, prepare, and monitor dental readiness for Dental Care Providers (DCP).
Work independently in the accomplishment of a wide variety of duties, including setting priorities and coordinating work.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Seasonal influenza vaccination is required.
- Temporary Duty (TDY) up to 5%.
- Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
- Must be able to obtain and retain a National Agency Check and inquires (NACI) clearance, Tier 1.
- This position has a requirement to lift up to 25 lbs.
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination to ensure the required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
- This position is subject to a pre-employment drug test screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes (1) providing administrative support such as clerical, office, recordkeeping or other work related to dental clinic administration; AND (2) utilizing a personal computer and office automation software programs in order to retrieve or present data for medical records, scheduling and/or reports. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04).

Education: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages.
