You will serve as a HR SPECIALIST (HR DEVELOPMENT) in the S-1 DIRECTORATE of MARINE CORPS BASE HAWAII.
Duties
You will provide guidance and assistance to managers, supervisors, and employees regarding training and career programs.
You will provide technical assistance to management concerning determination of training needs, sources of needed training, plan to meet needs, design and presentation of training, and evaluation of results.
You will participate in all phases of planning, developing, implementing, and administering training program.
You will develop, design, and instruct training classes on a variety of subjects to support civilian leadership development and other professional development.
You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
Requirements

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector organizing and facilitating training, tracking mandatory training requirements and completion data, managing a training budget and training plan, and conducting training needs assessments.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.M., if related
