Duties

You will perform or advise on work in any of the phases or systems of budget administration. You will analyze and recommend costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of organization's programs and administrative operations. You will perform fiscal, accounting and financial management duties and responsibilities. You will assist with financial requirements and maintain close oversight on daily fiscal requirements. You will use expert knowledge in financial management principles and processes to integrate improvements and solve problems. You will assist with developing financial plans, implementation schedules, metric tracking, budgeting, and applicable higher level reporting systems. You will monitor maintain two separate funding streams and ensure proper documentation and execution. You will maintain oversight for military and civilian travel and verify compliance prior to submission for final payment.

Requirements

• You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
• This is a Financial Management Level 1 certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
• You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: developing, analyzing, and advising on budget administration and policies such as: formulating budget and cost estimates to support plans, programs, and activities; presenting and defending budget estimates before authorities; review and evaluate budget requests; and control and reporting of obligations and expenditures.
