About the Position: The Training Instructor delivers standardized course material on the use of Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to clinical staff at Lyster Army Health Clinic, Fort Novosel, AL. The Training Instructor conducts training sessions, reviews and evaluates training materials, and develops recommendations for enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of training. Working hours are approximately Monday - Friday, 0715 - 1615.
Duties
Conduct training classes on automated medical health systems such as Medical Health System Genesis.
Select aides for enhancement of the effectiveness and efficiency of training.
Deliver standardized course material developed for clinical staff.
Develop material for portions or sections of training, such as student guides and quick reference materials.
Answer incoming calls for assistance regarding health systems.
Collect information from callers for resolution of requests.
Requirements

- This position has mandatory seasonal Influenza vaccination requirements and is subject to annual seasonal Influenza vaccinations unless otherwise exempted for medical or religious reasons (documentation of exemption must be provided upon hire).
- Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
- This position requires the incumbent to have Tuberculosis testing.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that demonstrates a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction, which includes conducting training sessions of standardized course material; developing training reference material for students; reviewing evaluations or recommendations for course modification. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree with a major study in education or a subject area related to the position to be filled, such as adult education, health education, or information management.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
