About the Position: This position is located at Ft. Rucker, Alabama, home of the United States Army Aviation "Center of Excellence". Fort Rucker is located in the "Wiregrass" area in Southeast Alabama, surrounded by Enterprise, Ozark and Daleville. The geography and climate are ideal for year round military training. Recreation activities are abundant in the immediate and surrounding areas for family and fun.
Duties
Supervisory oversight of the development of training strategies and instructional training materials for assigned training programs.
Plan and direct operations. Apply comprehensive technical and managerial background in long-range and annual work planning, establishment of institutional training programs and review and evaluation of activities.
Maintain working files on assigned training programs (s) or course(s) materials and systematically reviews material for adequacy and accurately.
Perform Specialist Tasks. Determine and conduct extent of research required for assigned projects.
Develop individual Training Support Packages (TSP)s, Course Administrative Data (CAD) , Program of Instructions (POI)s and Individual Training Plan (IDP)s.
Plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set priorities and evaluate performance.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires a Secret security clearance.
- Must be able to travel 10% business Temporary Duty Travel.
- This position requires a one-year Supervisory Probationary Period to access your ability to perform supervisory duties.
- This position requires you to obtain and maintain Instructor training certification, Common Faculty Development.

Specialized Experience: Your resume must reflect one year of specialized experience that demonstrates (I) experience planning, coordinating and developing Army training strategies and learning concepts in an Adult classroom/educational institutional environment to include development of written academia and the use of multimedia methods. (2) evaluating course material (in an Adult classroom/educational environment) to determine modification and developing training and education courses, (3) planning, coordinating, and scheduling Department's workload. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
