You will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST in the COPORATE BUSINESS AND ANALYSIS GROUP, SECURITY DEPARTMENT of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.
Duties
You will serve as the Government Security Manager (GSM) at Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD) and will be responsible for providing subject matter expert (SME) guidance and advice on all security matters.
You will who perform work under general administrative direction with wide latitude for the exercise of independent judgment.
You will direct the work of other employees (of equivalent or lower pay bands) who may be involved in performing segments of the overall work under the Government Security Manager's cognizance.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the DA-04 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate duties related to the following: 1) interpreting and applying knowledge of Special Access Program (SAP) Security policies and guides to provide recommendations for implementation to the SAP Management Officer, Security Director, and command leadership; 2) Assessing Special Access Program security risk and providing recommendations/solutions to executive leadership; 3) Identifying the causes of problems, and choosing courses of action that balance the interests of the mission and stakeholders; 4) Leading and mentoring a team.
