About the Position: This position is located with the Army Sustainment Command, 407th Army Field Support Brigade Logistics Readiness Center, Fort Cavazos, TX.
Duties
Independently plans and directs all phases of the Installation Maintenance Management Program.
Develops and disseminates internal policy and operating procedures for commercial and tactical equipment.
Evaluates the organization's resources, facilities, and personnel needs.
Serves as Chief, Installation Maintenance Management Office (IMMO), Maintenance Division.
Supervises a subordinate workforce through HR practices.
Interacts with Garrison Directorates to correct any perceived or actual maintenance issues involving support provided prior to elevating to the Division Chief.
Identifies organizational and operational problems, and through an analysis of maintenance trends and activities develops proposed solutions.
Directs the daily operation of the Installation Maintenance program.
Continually evaluates the effectiveness of the IMMO programming to meet mission objectives.
Develops local regulations, guidelines, or instructions concerning maintenance planning.
Performs COR duties overseeing a maintenance contract.
Manages the Modification Management Information System (MMIS) program.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- A National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) Background Investigation is required.
- Temporary duty travel of up to 25% may be required.
- A one-year supervisory probationary period may be required.

Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled such as 1) coordinating, monitoring, and/or evaluating the efforts of maintenance areas to ensure requirements are met; 2) formulating organizational strategies, tactics, and plans to acquire and allocate resources; and 3) preparing analyses of logistic performance. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
