About the Position: Position serves as a team lead under the general supervision of the Branch Chief, Engineering Division, Directorate of Public Works.

Duties

Oversee team tasked with producing contract CAD drawings, specifications, and scopes of work for the repair of various facilities. Facilities may include, roadways, parking lots, intersections, general pavement repairs and roofing systems. Perform successfully in a high-tempo project environment where multi-tasking and changing priorities are expected. Provides contract monitoring for JOC (Job Order Contracts) with USACE. Develops and maintains project prioritization list and maintains projects status. Develops independent government estimates for work within 10% of project award. Researches, schedules, and attends training to increase knowledge base of various repair types.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
  • This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure OGE Form 450 and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights.

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Contract Management/SupportFacilities Operations ManagementProgram/Project Management Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). All applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade and specialized experience requirements within thirty (30) days after the closing date of the announcements. Current employees applying under VEOA are subject to time-in-grade restrictions like any other GS employee.
