You will serve as a Command Knowledge and Data Management Officer (CKDMO) at Special Operations Command, Pacific (SOCPAC).
Key focus areas include implementing disciplined Knowledge Management (KM), Information Management (IM), and Data Management (DM) governance and policies.
Duties
You will synchronize operating procedures with SOCOM, INDOPACOM, broader DoD Data organizations, and communities of interest.
You will ensure SOCPAC Data interoperability and capability parity.
You will identify opportunities for appropriate data visualization, automation, machine learning (ML), and artificial intelligence (AI) solutions.
You coordinate with the CIO to implement SOCPAC enterprise-wide modernization, and to divest outdated IT solutions.
You will plan, implement, and manage all aspects of SOCPAC KM, IM, and DM programs in alignment with CTO and COMSOCPAC's guidance.
You will supervise, manage, and guide KM and DM personnel, which might include but is not limited to contractor and military knowledge managers, operations research and systems analysis (ORSAs), and Data Stewards.
You will build an integrated, digital platform with various data feeds to display a live virtual COP environment that incorporates Joint Fires network visualizations.
You will use process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean Six Sigma, SCRUM) to ensure SOCPAC processes undergo continuous measurable improvement.

- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: mastery knowledge of special operations programs and experience in developing and establishing Command administrative and/or technical guidelines, while performing duties that include the following: 1) implementing Knowledge Management (KM), Information Management (IM), and Data Management (DM) governance and policies.; 2) synchronizing with higher level agencies and broader DoD Data organizations, and communities of interest to ensure data interoperability and capability parity; 3) advising on advanced data techniques; and 4) training and experience conducting Joint Interface Control Officer (JICO) or similar technical duties. Qualified and knowledgeable of Joint Interface Control Officer (JICO) concepts, principles, and practices of specific systems/equipment, required security and safety regulations, practices, and procedures.
