This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: Serves as a Senior Budget Analyst performing, advising on and/or leading work in any of the phases of budget formulation, integration, submission, and execution.
Duties
Design and recommend innovative program improvements.
You will be responsible for reimbursable funding structure within GFEBS and works closely with operational personnel and program directors to ensure funding is received before reimbursable work proceeds.
You will assume responsibility for tracking earning status of all reimbursable accounts.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- This position requires the employee to meet Financial Management Certification Level II.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes analyzing budget input, purchase requisitions, and travel submissions. Establishing the fund distribution for various appropriations. Reviewing incoming financial authorization documents for consistency with approved budgetary guidance. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
