About the Position: The incumbent of this position will work as a Supervisory Budget Analyst in the Budget Execution Division, IMCOM, at Fort Sam Houston, TX, developing guidance, policies and procedures for the execution of the budget.
Duties
Assigns work to subordinates based on priorities, difficulty of assignments, and the capabilities of employees.
Collaborates with HQ IMCOM functional managers for release of funds to the Regions and Installations for specific programs.
Reviews monthly obligations, compares to spend plan, and performs analysis.
Uses financial systems including IMCOM On-Line (IOL) and Operational Data Store (ODS) to retrieve information used for analysis and/or for preparation of reports, briefings, etc.
Coordinates with the Army Budget Office (ABO) on IMCOM budget programs based on changes in current year execution and analysis of impact on previously formulated Program Objective memorandum (POM).

- This position requires Financial Management Level 3 certification within 2 years of assuming the position.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement up to 10% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) providing technical guidance to managers relative to the performance of budget functions; 2) reviewing and/or editing budget requests submitted by program managers assuring they conform to agency requirements; 3) performing work that involves analytical, technical and administrative duties in one or more phases of the budgetary process, e.g., budget formulation, funds distribution, forecasting or execution; 4) providing briefings and reports on budget status. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13)
