About the Position: Serves as Chief, Mission Budget Branch, Assistant Chief of Staff, Resource Management (ACSRM),U.S. Army Medical Center of Excellence (MEDCoE), a major subordinate command (MSC) of the U.S.Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) located in Fort Sam Houston, Texas.
Duties
Plan assignments to include the development and presentation of multi-year budgets for assigned programs/activities.
Perform a wide variety of administrative and analytical duties related to program/budget planning with the formulation, justification,
presentation, execution, and review for assigned appropriations Budget Estimate Submission (BES).
Plan the development of methods and procedures for budget formulation and administration.
Develop long-range budget concepts and procedures, funding policies and procedures to be used in various funding redistributions.
Provide data and material for briefing higher headquarters on short notice.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must obtain and maintain Secret background investigation.
- Travel duty requirement up to 10% of the time.
- Must obtain and maintain Financial Disclosure Certification Level 2 is required.
- One year Supervisory Probationary will be required.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience in the analysis, formulation, and execution of an organization's budget; experience in analyzing trends to make budget estimates, adjustments, and recommend alternate actions. Experience in reviewing fund utilizations; and advising staff/and or supporting units on budgetary regulations and guidance. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-12.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent GS-12.
