This position is part of the National Archives and Records Administration,in the Enterprise Data Management Division (IM). IM is responsible for planning, directing and administering NARAs enterprise data management programs, policies, systems, and services. The IM group controls and improves the efficiency of processes associated with the identification, collection, storage, access, and reproduction of NARA's data.
Duties
As an Information Technology Specialist (DATAMGT), you will:
Collaborate with technical and project personnel to select data analytics solutions that are appropriate for NARA business processes.
Serve as a team leader or technical representative on projects related to the implementation of enterprise data analytics programs.
Maintain liaison with, and assist NARA offices with, data/database development and update projects.
Ensure that performance associated with data/database access and information delivery is optimal in NARA's environment.
May serve as the Contracting Officers Technical Representative (COTR) on contracts associated with application, development and operation.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized experience for the GS-14 is defined as one year of experience at the GS-13 level, or equivalent that is directly related to the position and which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience for this position includes:
Experience developing or implementing data analytics projects or programs to enable data-driven decisions.; AND
Experienced in running transformations of structured and unstructured data to prepare data to use for creating datasets and dashboards.; AND
Experience implementing enterprise data strategies to ensure compliance with laws and applicable policies.; AND
Experience leading or supporting strategic business opportunities that advocate for a data-driven culture.
In addition to specialized experience, individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below.
1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.
3. 4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable (as defined in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F):
For the GS-14, you must have been at the GS-13level for 52 weeks.
