Duties

Conducts extensive coordination efforts with other DoD entities and federal agencies. Advises and participates in the formulation and development of recommendations for legislative amendments, regulations, guidelines, and policies/procedures Researches and resolves complex and atypical inquiries received through congressional liaison offices or other external sources. Analyzes and determines potential improvements to existing DoD health care delivery. Develops recommendations for changes and procedures to implement new and existing policy. Plans, coordinates, and assembles special projects, presentations, reports, or responses associated with initiatives in response to Congressional inquiries.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • A Personnel Security Investigation is required.

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Organizational AwarenessPerformance MeasurementPlanning and Evaluating Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
