Duties

You will provide security and administrative support to direct funded programs with both Special Access Program (SAP) and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security requirements. You will plan, implement, and administers both the Special Access Program and Sensitive Compartmented Information security programs, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and meeting customer needs. You will provide support in the areas of program protection planning; personnel, industrial, physical and Information Systems (IS). You will prepare, review and evaluate program and security documentation to ensure adequate protection is provided in accordance with program requirements. You will Interpret sponsor’s unique classified technical needs and advise on risk management and implementation of relevant security measures to ensure national security.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

DA-04/DA-05 Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09/11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Grade level will be determined based on your level of specialized experience in the following: 1) Leading security teams through complex multi-discipline security scenarios, mentoring, and developing team members into proficient security specialists; 2) Applying knowledge of Information Security, procedures, policy guidelines and regulations for security management of programs, personnel and resources; 3) Applying security concepts, principles and practices to review, analyze and resolve difficult and complex security problems; 4) Initiating and administering sensitive projects, testing, and security operations; 5) Working with Automated Information Systems (AIS) security equipment, programs, alarm systems, entry control systems and intrusion detection systems; 6) Applying knowledge of Information and Personal Security Program Regulations and Physical Security Manuals. Education

For DA-04 level only, you may substitute the following education for specialized experience:

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.M., if related.
