You will serve as a REALTY OFFICER in the Real Estate Business Line (REBL) of NAVAL FACILITIES ENG COMMAND HAWAII.

Duties

You will have wide range of real estate principles, practices, processes, services, markets, and values, as well as the capacity to use real estate techniques, principles, and procedures in a number of scenarios and contexts. You will have knowledge of DoD contracting methods/procedures pertaining to the full scope of real estate transactions. You will have comprehensive knowledge/expertise of Federal, DOD, and Navy/Marine Corps regulations and policies governing real estate functions. You will have skill in performing effective, constructive, employee and team feedback for the purpose of improving performance.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-13) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) Utilizing knowledge real estate practices, procedures, and principles in real estate contracting and real estate transactions; 2) Overseeing real estate projects, funding of renewal contract, budget materials, personnel and other information concerning real estate programs; 3) Providing advice on complex real estate issues and policies; and 4) Overseeing the direction of the real estate program for the organization.
