About the Position: This Human Resources Assistant (Military) position is located at National Training Center, Office of the G1 with a duty location of Ft. Irwin, California.
Duties
Update tracking systems to monitor military personnel actions and ensure timely completion.
Retrieve statistical data from automated reporting systems for management use.
Perform personnel management duties utilizing applicable military human resources automated systems to access necessary information
Prepare certificates to support award ceremonies.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
- This position requires the incumbent to travel away from the normal duty station as required.
- This position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain both a valid Military and State Driver’s License.

Specialized experience involves 1) Processing military and human resources documents (i.e. awards, decorations, and badges); AND/OR 2) Using automated Human Resource systems to research and track information; AND/OR 3) Assisting personnel with completing documents and requests for Human Resources related needs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower level/grade position in the federal service (GS-05).
