This position is part of the Selective Service System, Operations Directorate. The incumbent will be responsible for providing liaison among Selective Service System (SSS), uniformed service members and their contributing units, ensuring that the members who are assigned to SSS receive timely and accurate personnel services.
Duties
Acts as primary conduit between and among individual reservists, organization's supervisors, the human resources function and the military personnel centers/commands.
Assists the organization supervisor and support staff with ensuring that reservists are in compliance with their service readiness standards such as medical, dental, weight management, training, physical fitness and drug testing.
Reviews, corrects and processes a full range of administrative and personnel actions, correspondence and supplemental materials for each of the military services participating in the organization's activities.
Qualifications
At the GS-11 level, you must meet one of the following qualifications:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-9 level. Specialized experience is that which has equipped the applicant with the competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. Examples of specialized experience include: (1) maintain personnel files or program continuity/onboarding binders; (2) advise management on solutions to solve potential issues; and (3) analyze accounting or budget reports.
OR
B. A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; or LL.M., if related in one of the following fields: business, administration, or other related fields;
OR
C. A Combination of education and experience as listed above.
At the GS-12 level, you must meet the following qualification:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 level. Specialized experience is that which has equipped the applicant with the competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. Examples of specialized experience for this position include: (1) process administrative or personnel actions to retain within personnel files or program continuity/onboarding binders; (2) assist with developing or evaluating human capital and military program strategies and present solutions to potential issues; and (3) analyze accounting or budget estimates to ensure accuracy.

TIME-IN-GRADE: Current career or career-conditional employees of the Federal government, or former career or career-conditional employees, who have a break in service of less than one year, are required to meet the time-in-grade restriction of one year of Federal experience at the next lower grade, with few exceptions outlined in 5 CFR 300.603(b).
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
