This position is part of the Selective Service System, Public & Intergov Affairs Directorate, Data Management Center, Registration Systems Analysis Branch. The incumbent will be responsible for planning, coordinating, integrating and executing business strategies for new and innovative
programs aimed at highlighting and improving mission effectiveness.
Duties
Manages projects, improves business processes and increases the effectiveness of management functions.
Applies principles of process improvement techniques when analyzing and studying workload, mission throughout and resource allocations as they impact mission readiness and cost effectiveness.
Serves as principal project manager who works on various assigned initiatives.
Develops and briefs presentation and position papers relative to organizational and program requirements.
Qualifications
At the GS-13 level, you must meet the following qualification:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level. Specialized experience is that which has equipped the applicant with the competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. Examples of specialized experience for this position include 1) planning, managing research, development, and execution of a project; and 2) providing recommendations to revise policies or business processes; and 3) communicating strategies, goals, objectives and/or work products to division managers, headquarters, or other agencies.

TIME-IN-GRADE: Current career or career-conditional employees of the Federal government, or former career or career-conditional employees, who have a break in service of less than one year, are required to meet the time-in-grade restriction of one year of Federal experience at the next lower grade, with few exceptions outlined in 5 CFR 300.603(b).
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Education cannot be substituted for specialized experience at this series/grade level.
