Duties
You will serve as the command interface to external Foreign Entities and various Facility Security Officer’ s for contracting companies.
You will execute the duties of Contract Security and the handling of DD-254s, classification, declassification, foreign visits, and access control management ensuring there is a valid need to know.
You will maintain associated information and databases and continually evaluate the programs and systems for vulnerabilities and necessary process improvements.
You will remain up to date with existing and evolving DOD and SECNAV guidelines and precedents to ensure compliance with established NAAVWAR and USN requirements.
Requirements

- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to a hostile area or CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to attend the Naval Security Manager's Course within 1 year of appointment to the position and must obtain and maintain the Security Fundamentals Professional (SPeD) Certification within 2 years of appointment to the position.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

- You will be required to complete NIWC Atlantic Contracting Officers Representative Certification training, obtain a courier card, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
Qualifications
NO-02 -
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Assist other security specialists in one or more of the security functional specialties. Examples of Qualifying experience: Reviewing requests for personnel or facility security clearances to assure that all required information is provided; Reviewing reports of personnel investigations to identify the presence or absence of derogatory information; Assisting experienced specialists in conducting onsite physical or industrial security inspections.
NO-03 - Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Conducting research and analysis to assess industrial or other private facilities' physical acceptability for possession of classified and/or sensitive information.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree
NO-03 - master's or equivalent graduate degree
or
2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.B. or J.D., if related
